摘要: Cornstarch characteristics can be changed by expressing a non-corn plant starch branching enzyme in corn plant. In preferred embodiment, transgenic plants containing the barley IIa transgene was generated. Some produced seeds cornstarch with lowered gelatinization temperature and retrogradation rate while others higher when compared to non-transgenic plants.
