摘要: The rare-earth and yttrium abundances in four whole-rock samples eight associated mineral fractions from the batholith of southern California have been determined by means neutron activation partition chromatography. It is shown that, on a basis, an increase total content sequence gabbro-tonalite-grandiorite-quartz monzonite paralleled relative fractionation favoring lighter rare earths. In same sequence, there apparently systematic, increased removal Eu which attributed to existence Eu(II). Analyses feldspar, pyroxene, amphibole, mica, apatite also indicate that divalent was important constituent during evolution rocks studied. feldspar were invariably enriched adjacent earths, whereas ferromagnesian minerals relatively depleted.
