摘要: The magnetic susceptibility (χ) and the 51 V Knight shift ( K ) measurements are performed on perovskite LaVO 3 in paramagnetic state. By analyzing -χ diagram, independent contributions of spin orbital susceptibilities to observed one determined experimentally. was found be suppressed from Curie-Weiss law for S =1 spins well above Neel temperature. It also that hyperfine coupling constant d is largely reduced usual core-polarization contribution. analysis based a local-moment model shows this reduction may caused by large transferred between neighboring 3+ ions rather than covalency with O 2- ions. This accounts all NMR data quantitatively, though, sign magnitude field not compatible any existing microscopic theories.
