摘要: Abstract An energy independent non-local optical potential for the elastic scattering of neutrons from nuclei is proposed and wave-equation solved numerically in its full integro-differential form. The kernel assumed seperable into a form factor times Gaussian non-locality. factor, argument 1/2r+r'), that real Saxon plus an imaginary term having shape derivative A local spin-orbit usual Thomas included. parameters obtained solely fitting differential cross sections lead at 7 MeV 14.5 are used unchanged to calculate sections, total reaction polarizations on some elements ranging Al Pb various energies 0.4 24 MeV. S-wave strength functions effective radius R′ also calculated with same parameters. notations are: V = 71 MeV, r 1.22 fm, 0.65 fm; surface W 15 0.47 non-locality β 0.85 potential, using nucleon mass form, Uso 1300 independence allows compound be included approximately below 4 calculations compared data over whole range, quality agreement found comparable previously energy-dependent potentials. “local WKB” approximation equation derived give approximate relation between equivalent potential.
