摘要: A practical and user-friendly strategy for the chain-end reduction of halogen terminated polymers that employs hydrogen gas heterogeneous catalysis (palladium on carbon) is reported. Quantitative dehalogenation a wide variety monomer families (polystyrenes, polyacrylates, polymethacrylates) with either chlorine or bromine chain-ends observed. The utility this further highlighted by mild reaction conditions, simple purification, compatibility range solvents. (Figure presented.).
