摘要: It has been found that the x-ray production of $F$ centers at liquid helium temperature is primarily dependent on type alkali halide and not defect structure particular specimen in contrast to observations room temperature. This result indicates low-temperature a bulk property occurs as creation ion vacancies by ejection ions from their normal lattice sites. The formation $H$ pairs accord with this model supported fact energy required produce an center variety halides depends interstitial space available for accepting atom.
