摘要: Abstract The formation mechanisms of the barrier layer (BL) and its seasonal variability in Arabian Sea (AS) are studied using a comprehensive dataset temperature salinity profiles from Argo other archives for AS. Relatively thick BL 20–60 m with large spatial extent is found central-southwestern AS (CSWAS), convergence zone monsoon wind, during peak summer (July–August) southeastern (SEAS) northeastern (NEAS) winter (January–February).
