Recent Land Surface Dynamics Across Drylands in Greater Central Asia

摘要: We analyzed trends in and linkages between 16 years of MODIS land surface temperature data 15 annual cover across drylands Greater Central Asia three subregions (Central Core, Drylands East Asia, Middle East) as well 24 nations administrative subunits. The spatial resolution the analyses was 0.05°, roughly 5 km. found that a large fraction has experienced significant changes one or more aspects thermal regime. Significantly warmer nights were 19 political entities, where greater than 10% their area affected. However, these are distributed geographically patches without clear linkage to type. These findings point need for further analysis using finer understand recent dynamics Drylands.
