Management of recurrent pilonidal sinus by simple V-Y fasciocutaneous flap

摘要: PURPOSE: Several methods of managing the sacrococcygeal pilonidal sinus have been described, and fervent arguments for each form therapy can be found in literature. Recurrence unfortunately plagues all forms therapy, though it is evident that lowest rates reported procedures involving local flap reconstruction. We conducted this case review to evaluate validity a simple reconstructive procedure recurrent disease. METHODS: describe application V-Y fasciocutaneous advancement reconstruct defect following radical excision five consecutive patients. RESULTS: Tension-free closure offers benefits reduction postoperative pain, less restriction activity, shorter hospital stay. CONCLUSIONS: Preliminary results offer evidence efficacy management difficult cases.
