摘要: Comorbidity of depression and diabetes is common, each disorder has a negative impact on the outcome other. The direction causality not certain as seems to act both risk factor consequence for other in longitudinal studies. This bidirectional association possibly mediated by shared environmental genetic factors. Comorbid associated with reduced adherence medication self-care management, poor glycaemic control, increased health care utilization, costs elevated complications, well mortality patients diabetes. Psychological pharmacological interventions are shown be effective improving symptoms; however, collaborative programs that simultaneously manage disorders seem most diabetes-related outcomes.
