摘要: Phytophthora spp. secrete vast arrays of effector molecules upon infection. A main class intracellular effectors are the CRNs. They translocated into host cell and specifically localise to nucleus where they thought perturb many different cellular processes. Although CRN proteins have been implicated as effectors, direct evidence mediated perturbation processes has lacking. Here we show that a conserved from P. capsici directly binds tomato transcription factor SlTCP14-2. Previous studies in Arabidopsis thaliana revealed TCP14 may be key immune signalling protein, targeted by divergent species. We extend on our understanding TCP targeting pathogen showing CRN12_997 SlTCP14-2 plants. over-expression enhances immunity capsici, phenotypic outcome can abolished co-expression CRN12_997. presence CRN12_997, association with nuclear chromatin is diminished, resulting altered SlTCP14 subnuclear localisation. These results suggest prevents positively regulating defence against capsici. Our work demonstrates interaction between an oomycete target required for suppression immunity. Collectively, hint at virulence strategy within oomycetes allow engineering resistance wide range crop pathogens.
