摘要: We, for the first time, report detection and size measurement of single nanoparticles (i.e. polystyrene) in aquatic environment using mode splitting a whispering gallery (WGM) optical resonator, namely microtoroid resonator. Using this method we achieved detecting measuring individual synthetic hemozoin nanocrystals, which are hemoglobin degradation by-product malarial parasites, dispersed solution or air. The results air agree with each other those obtained scanning electron microscope dynamic light scattering. Moreover, compare sensing capabilities degenerate (single resonance) non-degenerate (split mode, doublet) operation regimes WGM
