摘要: Abstract Background Dengue is an arboviral disease caused by dengue virus. Symptomatic infection causes a wide range of clinical manifestations, from mild fever (DF) to potentially fatal disease, such as hemorrhagic (DHF) or shock syndrome (DSS). We conducted literature review analyze the risks DHF and current perspectives for prevention control. Methods According PRISMA guidelines, references were selected PubMed, Web Science Google Scholar database using search strings containing combination terms that included fever, pathogenesis, Quality evaluated independent reviewers. Results was first reported in Philippines 1953 further transmitted countries region South-East Asia Western Pacific. Plasma leakages main pathophysiological hallmark distinguishes DF. Severe plasma leakage can result hypovolemic shock. Various factors are thought impact presentation severity. Virus virulence, preexisting antibodies, immune dysregulation, lipid change host genetic susceptibility be correlated with development DHF. However, exact reasons mechanisms triggers remains controversial. Currently, no specific drugs licensed vaccines available treat any its presentations. Conclusion This study concludes antibody-dependent enhancement, cytokine dysregulation variation profiles occurrence. Prompt diagnosis, appropriate treatment, active continuous surveillance cases vectors essential determinants
