摘要: Abstract To the authors knowledge, there exists no recent review paper on computation and use of trajectories. fill this gap, study summarizes current knowledge calculation application The different techniques that can be used to compute trajectories are presented their error sources described. assumptions often made account for vertical wind velocity explained. Most studies agree now fully three-dimensional most accurate trajectory type. Methods assess errors outlined a summary in literature is given. Errors 20% distance travelled seem typical computed from analyzed fields. Finally, some important applications trajectories, namely Lagrangian particle dispersion models, chemical box models statistics, discussed.
