摘要: Abstract Alumina-reinforced aluminum 6061 alloy composites containing 10, 15 and 20 volume percentage particulates were tested using the standard tensile Charpy impact toughness tests. A statistical approach, known as Taguchi method, was implemented to identify heat treatment conditions for improved properties. Modulus of elasticity, yield strength, ultimate strength all increased while decreased a function reinforcement alumina/aluminum in T6 treated condition. analysis results indicate that, on average, 4% increase 7% over can be attained 6 h solutionizing at 529°C 12–18 aging 160°C. Similarly, 2 12 127°C an improvement more than 87% treatment.
