摘要: Abstract The preservation of salt marshes under rapid sea-level rise (SLR) typically requires the conservation marsh transgression zones—undeveloped uplands onto which can migrate. Optimal planning for this type information on expected benefit and cost land suitable migration in particular areas. While is available benefits within literature, prior research provides little insight associated costs. coastal hedonic pricing literature focuses primarily developed land, there are no models designed to predict conserving migration. This paper develops a property value model explore price patterns with purchases undeveloped SLR. illustrated using case study from Eastern Shore Virginia, dataset consisting open-market sales 2014 2017. Particular attention paid characteristics that determine potential such as distance, elevation connectivity. Results demonstrate be provided by errors use simplified proxies costs
