摘要: The seven-transmembrane containing G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) constitute the largest family of cell-surface receptors. Transmembrane signaling by GPCRs is fundamental to many aspects physiology including vision, olfaction, cardiovascular, and reproductive functions as well pain, behavior psychomotor responses. duration magnitude signal transduction tightly controlled a series coordinated trafficking events that regulate expression at plasma membrane. Moreover, intracellular profiles can correlate with efficacy efficiency triggered extracellular stimuli activate GPCRs. Of various molecular mechanisms impart selectivity, sensitivity strength transmembrane signaling, ubiquitination receptor protein plays an important role because it defines both properties activated GPCR. Ubiquitination proteins was originally discovered in context lysosome-independent degradation cytosolic 26S proteasome; however large body work suggests also orchestrates downregulation membrane lysosomes. In case GPCRs, such ubiquitin-mediated lysosomal engenders long-term desensitization signaling. To date about 40 are known be ubiquitinated. For major postendocytic sorting This chapter will focus on patterns functional roles GPCR ubiquitination, describe involved ubiquitination.
