摘要: Recurrence of meningiomas is a major prognostic issue. Although World Health Organization (WHO) histopathological grading correlates strongly with recurrence, it has some limitations, and predicting the biological behavior grade I particularly difficult. Osteopontin (OPN) protein known to be involved in tumor progression. The purpose this study determine expression OPN investigate its correlation WHO grades recurrence. Immunohistochemical (IHC) evaluation was performed by two different methods ensure reliability. IHC Allred scores were calculated on basis intensity extent staining. Both agreement correlated significantly meningioma Ki-67 index. also recurrence meningiomas. Cut-off values for between non-recurrent recurrent as 70 5.5 respectively. We concluded that valuable marker tumors.
