摘要: In this paper, local heat transfer measurements in circular mini- and microchannels are presented through the use of unencapsulated thermochromic liquid crystals for wall temperature measurement Microchannel is fundamental to design a number novel technologies development thermal control. Measurements carried out three different stainless steel tubes with nominal inner diameters 1.07, 0.51, 0.25 mm. The working fluids distilled water FC-72. A unique localized calibration crystal material employed minimize effects lighting nonuniformity effect variable coating thickness. Local frictional pressure drop laminar, transitional, turbulent flow regimes. results compared correlations both macro- regime show that, considering experimental uncertainty, adequate range investigated. Overall, methods developed work demonstrate that forms viable approach microheat experiments.
