The Search for the Development of Clusters in Tamaulipas, Mexico: A Case Study

摘要: The advantages of industrial clusters as propenners development have been widely noted. These prompted various administrations to propose the creation a policy. state Tamaulipas, Mexico has not an exception. purpose this paper is analyze impact environmental factors, cluster characteristics, and on performance companies, particularly, in four Tamaulipas (petrochemical, auto parts, electric-electronic, information technology). Based in-depth interviews with members participants, our findings suggest that these comes from geographical location advantages, sociocultural identity, internal networks, specialization, human capital training; knowledge sharing discretionary, region still needs research support (research institutions government agencies). However, case studies show policy makers, firms should work mutual understanding improve absorptive capacity order increase innovative capacity.
