Deriving a per-field land use and land cover map in an agricultural mosaic catchment

摘要: Abstract. Detailed data on land use and cover constitute important information for Earth system models, environmental monitoring ecosystem services research. Global products are evolving rapidly; however, there is still a lack of particularly heterogeneous agricultural landscapes. We censused field by in the mosaic catchment Haean South Korea. recorded types with additional practice. In this paper we introduce data, their collection post-processing protocol. Furthermore, because it to quantitatively evaluate available products, compared our MODIS Land Cover Type product (MCD12Q1). During studied period, large portion dry fields was converted perennial crops. Compared forested area underrepresented overrepresented MCD12Q1. addition, linear landscape elements such as waterbodies were missing due its coarse spatial resolution. The presented here can be useful earth science at public repository Pangaea ( doi:110.1594/PANGAEA.823677 ).
