摘要: Euphausia pacifica occupy a remarkably wide range of ecosystems. We examined the differences in brood sizes from eight regions North Pacific to explore how variation size might contribute their success over such range. show compilation and analysis short-term E. incubations around rim, ranging Yellow Sea (YS) (Korea) southern California (SC), USA. Brood for are highly variable all 5 697 eggs overall. Median were largest YS off Newport, Oregon maximum greatest coasts Washington, USA followed by YS. Quantile regression revealed that there was significant relationship between female length (95% quantile) broods SC, Oregon, as well Toyama Bay, Japan, indicating is limited these regions. This suggests other factors, hydrographic conditions, food quantity/quality or physiological condition females, may limit here.
