摘要: This paper further examines why some software development organizations decide not to adopt CMMI by replicating an earlier Australian study in another country. The data collected from the efforts of three consulting firms sell a Level 2 program subsidized Malaysian government. most frequently cited reasons for adopting were: was too costly; companies were unsure benefits; organization small; and/or had other priorities. extends and generally supports (differences found frequency ordering two new reason categories be introduced). It also adds our understanding adoption decisions. Based on results, we conclude that achieve broader impact practice, process improvement (SPI) researchers need develop stronger cost-benefit analysis SPI, recognising it as business investment rather than just product or quality technique, provide flexible entry options enable more difference sizes take leap.
