摘要: Abstract By dedicating food to fuel, recent biofuel policy developments in the European Union have become part of substantial substitution existing land use patterns around globe. This process has had various environmental and social consequences, commonly discussed under topic ‘indirect changes’ (iLUC). Although Commission strived mitigate indirect related impacts, this paper we show that directive proposal on iLUC is rather a quick fix than delicate attempt grasp topological ontological polymorphism phenomenon. We will demonstrate this, firstly, by showing how development been intertwined with models quantified GHG impacts feedstocks. Secondly, examine these calculative created problematic framing concealing manifold spatialities elusive Finally, not only posited into nexuses ordering; such calculations also remained unable explicate heterogeneous topologies actual production. illustrate crucial point explicating three types mediation – fluid, parasite fire cannot be acknowledged or contemporary policies Union. In sum, combining rethinking ideas Heidegger, Latour Serres, argue for an onto-topological approach capable taking account complex ontologies
