摘要: Plastics are dominant pollutants in freshwater ecosystems worldwide. Scientific studies that investigated the interaction between plastics and biodiversity incipient, especially if compared to marine realm. In this review, we provide a brief overview of plastic pollution around world. We found evidence ingestion by 206 species, from invertebrates mammals, natural or semi-natural ecosystems. addition, reported other consequences synthetic polymers ecosystems—including, for instance, entanglement animals different groups (e.g., birds). The problem is complex will need coordinated actions, such as recycling programs, correct disposal, stringent legislation, regular inspection, replacement with materials, ecological restoration. Current information indicates situation may be detrimental ocean, although highly underappreciated.
