摘要: Paracoccidioidomycosis (PCM) is a neglected systemic mycosis endemic to Latin America caused by dimorphic fungi of the genus Paracoccidioides. The acute juvenile PCM severe type presentation that usually affects young vulnerable patients and rarely progresses portal hypertension. Here, two cases liver disease hypertension as complications are reported. Diagnosis was performed isolation fungus molecular identification strains provided through partial sequencing protein encoding genes, arf gp43. Genotypic analysis revealed Paracoccidioides brasiliensis S1 phylogenic species involved in both cases. Patients presented good clinical response amphotericin B sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim. These results highlight importance interdisciplinary approach with forms avoid treat complications, necessity further investigations focusing on host-pathogen interaction order explain broad spectrum well severity poor outcome some
