摘要: There is renewed interest in distributed generation (DG). This paper reviews the different technological options available for DG, their current status and evaluates them based on cost of future potential India. The non-renewable considered are internal combustion engines fuelled by diesel, natural gas microturbines fuel cells fired gas. renewable technologies wind, solar photovoltaic, biomass gasification bagasse cogeneration. dependent load factor discount rate. Gas Bagasse cogeneration found to be most effective DG while wind gasifier viable under certain conditions. PEM Fuel micro turbines need a few demonstrations projects reductions before becoming viable. A strategy involving pilot projects, tracking costs dissemination information likely result meeting 10% India's power needs 2012.
