Iridescent colours in surfactant solutions

摘要: We report on a surfactant system which is in the liquid crystalline lamellar state and where spacings between layers can be expanded to several thousand A. As consequence solutions show bright iridescent colours when they are illuminated with w hite light against dark background. The consists of zwitterionic tetradecyldimethylaminoxide presence some cosurfactant small amounts hydrocarbon.
