Search for supersymmetry in hadronic final states using MT2 in pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV

摘要: A search for supersymmetry or other new physics resulting in similar final states is presented using a data sample of 4.73 inverse femtobarns pp collisions collected at sqrt(s)=7 TeV with the CMS detector LHC. Fully hadronic are selected based on variable MT2, an extension transverse mass events two invisible particles. Two complementary studies performed. The first targets region parameter space medium to high squark and gluino masses, which signal can be separated from standard model backgrounds by tight requirement MT2. second optimized sensitive light heavy squarks. In this case, MT2 relaxed, but higher jet multiplicity least one b-tagged required. No significant excess over expectations observed. Exclusion limits derived constrained minimal supersymmetric model, as well variety simplified spectra.
