摘要: Within the syntaxial bends of India-Asia collision Himalaya terminate abruptly in a pair metamorphic massifs. Nanga Parbat west and Namche Barwa east are actively deforming antiformal domes which expose Quaternary rocks granites. The massifs transected by major Himalayan rivers (Indus Tsangpo) loci deep rapid exhumation. On basis velocity attenuation tomography microseismic, magnetotelluric, geochronological, petrological, structural, geomorphic data we have collected at propose model this intense structural reworking crustal lithosphere is consequence strain focusing caused significant erosion within gorges cut Indus Tsangpo as these turn sharply toward foreland exit their host syntaxes. localization phenomenon terminations arc owes its origin to both regional local feedbacks between tectonics.
