Gyrotropy and magnetic fluid dependences of magneto-optical properties in YIG-magnetic photonic crystal fiber

摘要: In this work, a kind of magnetic photonic crystal fiber (MPCF) design based on yttrium iron garnet (YIG) structure filled with fluid (MF) is presented. order to improve the magneto-optical (MO) properties isolator devices, numerical study has been developed investigate non-reciprocal TE-TM mode conversion. This technique consists in producing, under influence field parallel direction propagation, coupling between modes. The gyrotropy and MF infiltration at different nanoparticle volume fraction concentrations investigated. results revealed that conversion efficiency (Rm) increases increase concentration, while modal birefringence (∆n) inversely proportional its increase. Thus, higher concentration provides best results. For equal respectively 1.75% 0.0125, Rm improved over 93%, ∆n reduced close 10–6. Whereas, decreases 89.59 6 × 10–6 for 0.25%. From these results, it can be seen MPCF well suited MO isolators.
