Using Big Data Sources for Origin-Destination Matrix Adjustment

摘要: Origin-Destination (OD) matrix adjustment is a well-known approach to generate up-to-date matrices. It an efficient method avoid conducting unnecessary travel surveys. The main practice in OD use base year as the seed and adjust it for subsequent years using traffic information such links’ counts. advent of big data has presented new opportunities less costly more effective origin-destination methods. However, extant literature real counts research studies on been very limited. In this paper, we present our effort exploit two transport sources Queensland, known STREAMS SCATS, matrices developed South-East Queensland Strategic Model (SEQSTM). Our experiments show that, just improving quality can improve adjusted matrix, increasing quantity significantly enhance well.
