Hierarchical edge detection using the bidirectional information in edge pyramids

摘要: Abstract In this paper, a hierarchical edge detection scheme based on the pyramid structure is studied. Results of conventional schemes using are observed to be sensitive information extracted at upper level and they have difficulty in selecting threshold value each level. To preserve spatial characteristics edges pertinent reduce selection level, we propose bidirectional linking algorithm two consecutive levels introduce an automatic Simulation results show that proposed pyramids gives better performance than ones.
