摘要: AIM: Gangliogliomas (GGs) and dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumours (DNTs) represent the most common histological entities within spectrum of glioneuronal (GNTs). The wide variability morphological features complicates classification, including discrimination from prognostically distinct diffuse low-grade astrocytomas (AIIs). This study was performed to increase our understanding these tumours. METHODS: We studied chromosomal copy number aberrations (CNAs) by genome-wide sequencing in a large cohort GNTs linked comprehensive analysis clinical characteristics. One hundred fourteen were studied: 50 GGs 64 DNTs. Also, data set CNAs 38 AIIs included. RESULTS: frequent both DNTs gains at chromosomes 5 7, often concurrent, gain chromosome 6. None subtype, immunohistochemical or Comparison revealed that whole is only observed GNTs. CNA patterns indicative chromothripsis detected three CONCLUSION: conclude with diverse morphologies share molecular features, findings support need improve classification differential diagnosis tumour GNTs, as well their distinction other gliomas.
