Effect of pilocarpine ocular therapeutic systems on diurnal control of intraocular pressure.

摘要: The pilocarpine ocular therapeutic system is an innovative drug delivery which releases into the tear film at a constant rate of 20mug/hr or 40mug/hr. was evaluated in 22 hospitalized patients with bilateral open angle glaucoma to determine its ability control pressure throughout diurnal interval. Only right eye each patient treated system; other served as control. Twelve measurements were made noncontacttorometer over 34-hour test period. In general, provided satisfactory around-the-clock intraocular and well tolerated by patients.
