摘要: An examination has been made of the tensile deformation behaviour a commercial aluminium-5% magnesium alloy. Regions uneven yielding, as exhibited in load-extension curves, have correlated with occurrence markings on specimen surface. By varying grain size, testing temperature and strain rate, two distinct kinds yielding identified. One kind can be explained terms Cottrell atmospheres while other is fine effect new mechanism proposed for its occurrence. Comparison aluminium-6% zinc-212% alloy shown some similarities behaviour; but important differences exist which by consideration different precipitation alloys.
