摘要: Some models for collaboration among families, schools, law enforcement, and social agencies, which promote gang awareness prevention of involvement at the elementary middle school levels, are described in this research review. The studies were grouped into three categories: background information, strategies, intervention strategies. Statistics regarding sociology gangs covered first. Ways communities can break cycle violence through early childhood discussed includes antiviolence curricula (e.g., Drug Abuse Resistance Education) such as dress codes, mentor programs, after-school activities, collaborative community programs. Numerous examples where these programs have been tried presented. Based on findings, eight steps preventing offered. They include following: education school, family, community; love respect all children; individualized instruction students; life skills preventive measures childhood; mentoring monitoring grade zero tolerance bullying, intimidation, violence.
