Fifty one-to-one interviews were done with five student groups, each which was presented scenario ending one factual outcome and three alternative outcomes that actually did not happen. Confirming already proven role provided event in overestimating probability its occurrence, this study expands current understanding processes neglected by research effect. It does so highlighting strategic use vagueness, self-empowerment selective perspective-taking question assessment past for own sake emphasize importance self-presentation.
