From actomyosin oscillations to tissue-level deformations

摘要: Pulsatile actomyosin contractility driving cell shape oscillations is a common feature of networks present in variety tissues undergoing morphogenetic processes. The origin this oscillatory dynamics, how it stabilized over time to give rise net changes and spatially coordinated across tissue, are questions that have being extensively investigated recent years. In work, I review genetics, biology, quantitative theoretical approaches started comprehensive understanding these problems revealing both biochemical mechanical regulation play an important role the emergence, coordination stabilization activity.
