Stereoscopic digital mammography: improving detection and diagnosis of breast cancer

摘要: Abstract Detecting and interpreting subtle breast lesions with standard film mammography is often difficult because of underlying overlying normal tissue superimposed on the lesion in 2D views. Stereoscopic digital may solve this other problems ambiguity by permitting radiologist to view volume, separated from depth. We have acquired both stereo mammograms women prior biopsy a suspicious lesion. In reading study experienced mammographers, mammography, as an adjunct film, was shown significantly improve diagnostic accuracy. But even more importantly, readers detected many new that were not visible films.
