摘要: Hispanics are a fast-growing segment of the population in USA, and this is reflected number that become defendants criminal trial, plaintiffs civil suit, or involved other procedures may require neuropsychological assessment for forensic purposes. This chapter reviews current standards practice evaluation mostly Spanish-speaking individuals who come contact with law English-speaking North America. There general issues important cross-cultural psychology could impact way pertinent identified assessed, thus affect conclusion reached. Cultural values such as “respeto” degree acculturation person assessed two ethno-cultural to consider at time clinical evaluation, collateral interviews, when offering opinions recommendations disposition. Potential problems include use interpreters evaluator non-native speaker, well assumption by descriptions history provided family members response closed questions accurate.
