摘要: The H2S breakthrough capacity was measured on two series of activated carbons a coconut shell and bituminous coal origins. To broaden the spectrum surface features samples were oxidized using nitric acid or ammonium persulfate under conditions chosen to preserve their pore structures. Then characterized Boehm titration, potentiometric thermal analysis, temperature programmed desorption, sorption nitrogen, water. It found that choice unimpregnated carbon for application as adsorbent should be made based parameters its acidity such number acidic groups, pH surface, amount groups oxygen, weight loss associated decomposition oxygen species. results obtained from analyses six suggest there are certain threshold values these quantities which, when exceeded, have dramatic effect capacity.
