摘要: Simkania negevensis is a novel Chlamydia-related bacterium and the founding member of Simkaniaceae family within Chlamydiales order. Little known about biology pathogenesis this bacterium. So far, S. has been considered as an amoebal symbiont, but its natural host remains unknown. Moreover, evidence human exposition reported worldwide association with pneumonia bronchiolitis suspected. Here, we evaluated ability to replicate in potential environmental reservoirs, namely amoebae arthropods, well mammalian cells (Vero cells, pneumocytes endometrial cells) further characteristics replicative vacuole.
