摘要: Abstract Purpose: This study used the principle of distraction osteogenesis to advance anterior maxilla dog using a totally tooth-supported device. Materials and Methods: After an maxillary osteotomy, device was activated 0.5 mm every 12 hours segment 10 in days. Results: Serial tooth radiographic measurements indicated that on 10th day average advancement 8.4 ± 1.5 skeletal 4.0 mm. 6 weeks 7.2 1.6 3 1.3 At months 6.2 at 5.0 1.1 Bone healing present all animals. Conclusion: results this indicate tooth-borne will result significantly greater dental movement than fixation may be needed for appliances maxilla.
