摘要: Digital halftoning, also referred to as spatial dithering is a method of rendering the illusion continuous-tone pictures on displays that are capable only producing binary picture elements. The concept blue noise-high-frequency white noise-is introduced and found have desirable properties for halftoning. Efficient algorithms with noise, based perturbed error diffusion, developed. nature dither patterns produced extensively examined in frequency domain. Metrics analyzing content aperiodic both rectangular hexagonal grids developed; blue-noise be ideally suited grids. Several carefully selected digitally examples included. >
