Count us in: the experiences of female war, peacemaking, and peacekeeping veterans

摘要: This article reports the findings of a qualitative study that explores linkages between female veterans’ experiences in warlike, peacemaking, peacekeeping, and humanitarian operations their perceived health support needs over long term. It is based on Australian veterans who had deployed overseas. The suggest woman’s emotional well-being term ability to fully reintegrate back into civilian life after deployment diminished when there significant disparity her expectations actual operational experiences. A major implication from these services should develop better understanding distinctive veteran population stronger with military community so as facilitate ongoing deployment-related for veterans.
