摘要: Abstract Background. Distinguishing between ovarian and adrenal causes of androgen excess may be difficult. We have found that women with the polycystic ovary syndrome supranormal plasma 17-hydroxyprogesterone responses to gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist nafarelin. determined usefulness testing nafarelin distinguish hyperandrogenism in women. Methods. studied 40 consecutive who had oligomenorrhea, hirsutism, or acne. All underwent nafarelin, dexamethasone, corticotropin measurement circulating concentrations gonadotropins steroid hormones, 19 ultrasonography. Results.
