摘要: Radiotelemetry data provide useful ecological information on the biology of animals and their interactions with environment that they inhabit. Many methods have been developed for analysis such spatial information, home range size utilisation density. However, no generally accepted method is currently available specifically determining temporal independence this type statistical analyses activity rhythms. Activity patterns analysed by ecologists assumption are statistically independent, or subjectively fixing an interval based attributes ranging behaviour. Although some good approximations can be obtained in these ways, we underline need a functionally correct estimating interval. Here use semi-variograms to estimate minimum required readings sequentially independent. This geostatistical tool applied Chilean foxes (Pseudalopex culpaeus) Chacoan peccaries (Catagonus wagneri). Data were collected field radio-tracking over 24-hour periods, state taken every 15 min. The dimension which theory geostatistics lies has transferred into time dimension, so correlation expressed units (minutes). Time as estimated variogram was 110 mins culpeo foxes, while indicated defined period series may more appropriate kind data.
