Discrimination of homocysteine, cysteine and glutathione using an aggregation-induced-emission-active hemicyanine dye

摘要: Elevated levels of homocysteine (Hcy) in blood are indicative many high risk cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases. Thus, development highly efficient selective dyes for monitoring Hcy has attracted much attention. This paper reports the utilization TPE-Cy, an aggregation-induced-emission active hemicyanine dye, as a probe detection Hcy. More interestingly, this dye shows selectivity to over cysteine, glutathione other amino acids weakly basic buffer solution.
