摘要: Leak detectability or leakage awareness refers to the capability of sensing losses from a water supply system. Several methods exist in technical literature tackle this problem, but only few address it with state estimation approach. The aim paper is present new methodology that enables probabilistic assessment extent which loss could be detected using by analysing single hydraulic state, i.e. one time period. Significant leaks are sensed identifying unusually high normalised residuals, can identified based on largest residual test. More specifically, probability detecting computed here working multivariate distribution among measurements and estimates take into account noisy nature an analytical approach rather than sampling experiments, time-consuming. set out herein also provides procedure systematically assess minimum leak different parts network for specific measurement setting operating condition. method has been applied transport case study show its potential highlight usefulness such tool practitioners. limitations discussed, including possible use on-line detection strategies.
